Golpe is fundamental for the Flamenco guitar technique. Golpe involves tapping the body of the guitar. This book of Golpe gives much material for the student to obtain the Golpe technique. Inside the book you will find many variations such as:
- Golpe with pulgar (thumb) combination.
- Golpe without Pulgar.
- Strike one or more strings by the Pulgar in combination with Golpe and more others aspects of the Golpe technique.

PULGAR
Volume I
The pulgar plays a critical role in the flamenco guitar technique space. However, if you try to find a comprehensive bibliographic reference to pulgar you will be vastly disappointed. These references are either fragmented, incomplete or very few exercises are proposed or offered for practice. These small available collections of exercises are not sufficiently large for a student to practice and effectively learn the pulgar techniques.

Volume II
The present book refers exclusively to pulgar exercises and is the continuation of Volume I. Contains pulgar exercises on the chromatic scales of a string (8 notes) modified either with repetitions and note duplications or with combinations of the above modifications.
One part of volume II based on ascending and descending Formulas (rolling) of the left hand.
Another part of volume II is based on chromatic scales of two adjacent strings.

Volume IV
The present Volume includes exercises for the thumb along with index finger. These exercises are intended for Flamenco guitar. However, it is worth mentioning that many of these exercises are offered for the classical guitar. These exercises can also be performed with the middle and the ring fingers. Replace the index finger with the middle or the ring finger in all exercises and do the same prectice with those two fingers.
The exercises written for three adjacent strings to be performed as appropriate on the first, second and third string of the guitar. However, they can be performed on any triune of adjacent strings.

LIGADOS
Volume I
Ligados are essential elements in the technique both of the Classical and the Flamenco guitar. Ligados are performed by the left hand fingers: index, middle, ring and littler finger symbolized as 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
There are three kinds of ligados:
- The ascending ligado (which connects lower with higher notes).
- The descending ligado (which connects higher with lower notes).
- The complex ligado which contains either ascending or descending ligados or even a combination of these. Complex ligados connect more than two notes.
Volume I includes the first three progressive levels in terms of difficulty.

The present volume refers to exercises of simultaneous stroke of the thumb with the index (i), middle (m) and ring finger (a) as well as independent thumb stroke (no combination with the above fingers).
These exercises practice the rhythmic movement of the thumb and are performed on the chromatic scales of one string (8 notes).

This volume includes exercises for the thumb exercising with fingers i, m and a on ten mainly basic Formulas. In these Formulas, a number of variations is formed by the introduction of two triplets as well as by the two slurs, depending on their position in the Formula.
Some of the exercises are played Apoyando, but also Tirando. The manner is indicated by symbols. All exercises in this book can be played only tirando.

The present volume includes exercises on simultaneous strike of the thumb (of one or two strings) with fingers i, m and a of the right hand in combination with two double consecutive strikes of the thumb (pp – pp). This book is about the Flamenco technique, however, striking the thumb one time (from top to bottom i.e. from the 6th to the 1st string) is equally useful for the learners of classical guitar.

Striking on the triple strike is done in three ways. Striking of the quadruple strike is done in five ways.

Volume I
This Book concerns mainly chromatic ascending and descending slurs combinations that are mainly played on the first string and one of the fingers plays constantly on the overlying strings at the beginning, at the middle or at the end of the slur.
Although, the exercises can be performed by using a different sequence from that presented in this book. it is advisable to the followed this order of the classification while a number of comments applies to the following units.

The present book includes a combination of arpeggios and slurs with interference of one or two notes within the slur. The exercises are based on the chromatic scales of one string (8 notes).
The chromatic scales are moving on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings.
The chromatic scales are moving on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings. The fingerings of right hand are combinations of two fingers (6 fingerings) and fingerings of three fingers (12 fingerings).
